The Royal Canadian Mint has released a new 2011 one dollar coin commemorating Parks Canada’s centennial. The coin’s design symbolizes Parks Canada’s heritage sites, national parks, and marine conservation areas. As a part of a five coin series called Our Legendary Nature, this centennial coin is the first to be released; the rest will follow over the next few months. As the Gulf of Georgia Cannery is a National Historic Site, these coins are available for purchase in our store.
