The very popular Fishermen Helping Kids with Cancer herring sale returns for its fifth year, this weekend on Saturday December 5th.  Herring by the boatfuls, freshly caught in the Gulf of Georgia, will be rushed back to Steveston (at the Steveston Harbour Authority at 12740 Trites Road), where 20lb bags will be sold for $10 each (cash only) from 8am to 4pm, with all proceeds going to the BC Children’s Hospital, to help kids with cancer.

This event is run entirely by volunteers from BC’s commercial fishing industry, whose hard work and dedication have helped to raise $300,000 since its start in 2011.
