The annual Steveston Festival of Trees features holiday trees decorated by local merchants and organizations, on display inside the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. In past years, votes from visitors to the historic cannery were tallied for favourite tree; this year, with COVID restrictions limitating visitation to our site, voters were also able to choose their favourite trees online, and on our Facebook and Instagram pages between December 1 to 24, 2020.

Here are the results:

1st place – Rivers Edge Girl Guides “Our Guiding Tree” 
2nd place – With Our Own Two Hands “Back to Basics” 
3rd place – London Heritage Farm “Tea with Friends”

These top 3 groups will receive gift packages featuring local Steveston merchants, thanks to our sponsor G&F Financial.

Special mentions:
Pajos – received the 2nd most in-person votes (1st place for in-person votes – Rivers Edge Girl Guides)

Richmond Amateur Radio Club – received most online web poll votes. See their blog for details about their first-time entry.
