We celebrate Canada’s birthday on July 1st with free admission to the Cannery! Come visit during our special extended open hours, from 10am to 6pm.

Steveston Village will once again be home to Richmond’s Canada Day Celebration, complete with 8 stages with musical performances and entertainment throughout the day. Look for food trucks and vendors throughout the village, and don’t miss Steveston’s annual Salmon Festival, complete with parade (from 10am to noon), cultural performances and exhibits, children’s festival, and the famous Salmon BBQ.

Inside the Cannery, discover our interactive exhibits, meet our costumed interpreters, and watch our new film “Ebb & Flow”which will be screening throughout the day. Look for special vendors Martha’s Kettle Corn, Coconama Chocolate, and Mendhi and Me in front of the Cannery, and enjoy the performances on the City of Richmond’s “Cowell Celebration Stage” located in Fishermen’s Park.
