Fionn at Music at the Cannery
On Friday night the Lower Mainland saw rain! Although it’s great for the flowers, grass, trees, and of course the fish, it isn’t so good for musicians, audiences, and music equipment. We made the decision to move everyone inside to the main part of the Cannery. Our volunteers were excellent as always and made sure that audience members knew of the change and were welcomed and directed inside.
The smaller, but no less enthusiastic, crowd was wowed by the harmonies of Fionn, a twin-sister duo from White Rock. Fionn played contemporary pop hits, older standards, and their own originals. Shaw TV was on site to film the performance for a future broadcast on Community Access TV (Channel 4).
Next week, join us for Cannery Row! Cannery Row, comprised of Gary Comeau, Tim Hearsey, and Chris Nordquist, are purveyors of fine roots music.
Join us Friday night at 6:30 pm. Admission by donation. Snacks and cash bar available. Shows happen rain (inside) or shine (outside). Call us at 604-664-9009 to find out where we’ll be if the weather’s been bad that day.
Music at the Cannery is produced in collaboration with the Beat Merchant Record Store in Steveston, and is generously sponsored by G&F Financial.
