February 9th is B.C.’s Family Day — a great day to bring the whole family to explore our local history in Steveston. The Cannery will be open on Family Day Monday from 10am to 5pm, with free admission for Kids under 16 years old (parents or guardians please be sure to accompany the kids!).

At 11am and 2pm, we’ll have the canning line machines up and running — yes, they really still do work!  Kids 6 to 11 can pick up a copy of our Parks Canada “Xplorer” guides for fun activities to do inside the museum. The little ones can play with ‘fishy’ games and toys inside our Cannery Kids’ Corner. Guided tours will also be offered throughout the day. There’s lots to see and do for visitors of all ages!
