Witness the unveiling of a new Steveston sculpture

Vancouver Whale WatchĀ has commissioned a sculptureĀ to beĀ gifted to the city of StevestonĀ in recognition of years of community support. The chainsaw sculpture, carved from an 800 year old California Redwood, is of a mother Orca lifting her baby to the water’s surface for its first breath. The Steveston Harbour AuthorityĀ has donated a space on the Boardwalk at Third Avenue, where the sculpture will be erected, to be enjoyed by the village residents. All are invited to view the unveiling of the sculpture at 1:00 pm onĀ October 28th.
