Witness the unveiling of a new Steveston sculpture
Vancouver Whale Watch has commissioned a sculpture to be gifted to the city of Steveston in recognition of years of community support. The chainsaw sculpture, carved from an 800 year old California Redwood, is of a mother Orca lifting her baby to the water’s surface for its first breath. The Steveston Harbour Authority has donated a space on the Boardwalk at Third Avenue, where the sculpture will be erected, to be enjoyed by the village residents. All are invited to view the unveiling of the sculpture at 1:00 pm on October 28th.
