Cannery Store Feature: Monogatari: Tales of Powell Street (1920-1941),

In honour of the Japanese community in downtown Vancouver and the 125th anniversary of the city, a book featuring the early Japanese settlers called Monogatari has been released. The book is a compilation of stories, images and photographs about the people who lived on Powell street between the 1920s and 1941, before the war. Monogatari: Tales of Powell Street is available at the Nikkei National Museum and Heritage Center and the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Store.
