Improved Fraser River sockeye salmon runs
Sockeye salmon runs are looking up on the Fraser River this summer, according to an article in today’s Vancouver Sun. Larry Pynn reports that the Federal Fisheries Department is predicting improved sockeye returns this season, although these are still below the average for this four-year cycle of 13.2 million sockeye.
