Slick Loonies

Have you noticed anything unusual about the loonies in your wallet?  Well, some of them may contain an oil slick. 

Decals depicting the iconic loonie blackened by an oil slick were produced to protest the Northern Gateway project which will link Kitimat to Alberta with pipelines and tanker traffic.   The Dogwood Initiative is opposed to tanker traffic in B.C.’s northern coast because of the risk of oil spills.
