Scrumptious Seafood: Cajun Style Baked Tilapia
U.S.-farmed tilapia, often referred to as the fish of the future due to its sustainability, is fairly mild when cooked simply. Adding seasonings or saucesĀ to this white fish enhances the culinary experience. Here is a baked tilapia recipe, from 7 Seas Seafood Shop.
Cajun Style Baked Tilapia
Ingredients:
- Tilapia fillets, large ā 2
- Butter ā 1/4 cup
- Garlic, minced ā 2 cloves
- Worchestershire sauce ā 1/2 Tsp
- Cajun Seasoning ā 1/2 Tsp
- Salt ā 1/2 Tsp
- Parsley, fresh ā 1 Tbsp
- Chives 2 Tsp
- Bread Crumbs ā 1/4 cup
Directions:
PreheatĀ oven to 400F. Grease a baking dish and place the tilapia fillets in the baking dish.
In a saucepan over medium heat combine butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, Salt, pepper, parsley, and chives. Cook for 3 minutes.
Using a brush, brush both side of the fillets with butter sauce mixture.
With remaining butter mixture, mix in bread crumbs. Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture over top of fillets.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until fish is translucent and flakes easily. Enjoy!
