Salmon Stomp 2011
On Sunday, August 14 the Salmon Stomp community festival returns to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery. A talented roster of diverse acts will take to the stage, with something for everybody . For those looking for more than music, there will also be street entertainers, balloon animals, face painting and kids’ crafts.
The schedule of musical performances is:
12:00 pm | Rio Samaya – exciting Latin rhythms. |
1:00 pm | Greg Meloche – smooth vocals with acoustic guitar. |
2:00 pm | Grand Trine Trio – Laying down funky beats, Latin grooves and swing. |
3:00 pm | Axé Capoeira – Energetic Brazilian vocals and dancing. |
4:00 pm | Blackberry Wood – a wonderful combination of alternative country, gypsy and circus music results in a timeless musical adventure. |
5:00 pm | Kallisto Trio – Everything from baroque to renaissance to the romantic periods is brought to life, then this trio then shifts effortlessly to jazz! |
