Steveston Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market possibly extended into the Fall

A late start to summer means late harvests. As this year has been particularly cool, the farmers’ crops are taking a little longer to come into fruition. As a result, the Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market is looking into extending their outdoor markets into October. While the details are being worked out by the city of Richmond and the Steveston Community Society, it is an exciting prospect to consider for the Fall.

In the meantime, the Farmers’ Market is back this Sunday, August 7th from 10am until 4pm. Swing by and check out the sweet summer fruits and vegetables. Come for the blueberries; they are ready and tasty! Try them sprinkled over a bowl of vanilla ice cream, guaranteed to please!

While you are shopping, step out of the August sun, peruse the fanciful products available at Cannery gift shop, and cool off with a tour of the Cannery.
