The Gulf of Georgia Cannery will be closed on Remembrance Day in recognition of the sacrifices made by Canada’s past and present soldiers.  If you are interested in attending a local Remembrance Day ceremony, Hugh Boyd Secondary School will be putting on two 45-minute audio-visual presentations saluting the families of armed forces personnel.  These presentations will be at 9:30am and 10:30am.  Please visit their website for more information, and for details about other Remembrance Day events throughout Greater Vancouver.

For those who are seeking a more traditional ceremony, there will be one at Richmond’s City Hall Cenotaph at 10:40am.  There will also be a parade that will proceed along Granville St and concluding at Minoru Pavillion.
