Spirit Fish on Friday August 6th

Celebrate Water and World Peace Day at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery with art, music, and a sunset parade to Garry Point Park!

Noon to 6:00 pm Make origami boat lanterns, decorate them with stamps and prayers for water and world peace. Drop in workshops at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery.
6:00 pm Tetsu Taiko
6:30 pm Music at the Cannery with Fraser Union
7:45 pm Parade wtih live music and performances to Garry Point Park to float our boats with our prayers for water and for world peace.

The Spirit Fish Project is an art and watershed awareness project by Still Moon Arts Society with the support of BC Arts Council, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, and numerous community partners. Still Moon Arts Society wants to connect communities to how water gets from our backyards through streams and rivers to the ocean. Water is the circulatory system of the earth and we want to celebrate it and our and all living creatures’ dependence on it for our lives.
