A belated happy International Workers’ Day!

We at the Cannery celebrated the day with the opening of our newest feature exhibit Solidary on Ships and Shore – Organizing the West Coast Fishing Industry. Our opening reception, one of our annual membership events, recognized our many generous sponsors and featured a performance by the aptly named Solidarity Notes choir.

The exhibit is officially open to the public as of today and continues until spring 2015. Come by to learn about the issues that got people marching, the organizations involved, and how they’ve shaped the fishing industry today.
